WOMEN ON RECORD
Edition 01 - Etel Adnan, Zineb Sedira, and Jana Diab
Women on Record is a limited-edition vinyl series bringing women's voices across generations, cultures, and artistic disciplines into dialogue.
Moving between music, poetry, and contemporary art, each edition creates an unexpected encounter between artists, preserving their creative expressions in a tangible form to be collected, shared, and passed on.
We champion the voices of bold women artists who have chosen to move freely between artistic worlds, experiment, push boundaries, and refuse to be defined by a single medium. Rooted in the belief that cultural heritage must be both preserved and continually reimagined, we celebrate the women who have defined cultural history, while supporting the next generation who will imagine what comes next.
Conceived by Sarah Daoui and Jade Croonenberghs through Bureau.Art.
Debuting at the El Gouna Film Festival, this inaugural edition features All Is Well!, an unreleased song by Egyptian singer-songwriter Jana Diab, alongside an excerpt from Night by the late Lebanese poet and artist Etel Adnan, read by Algerian artist Zineb Sedira.
Produced in a limited edition of 50 copies, 100% of proceeds from this inaugural edition fund a scholarship for a young female arts student at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts d'Alger.
